Scholarship Committee: Dave McNamara
Attached is a listing of the Hibernian Society of Baltimore scholarships to be paid for the Spring Term 2024.
The total awarded scholarship monies for the year is $39,000.00. (18 total scholarships).
Students are required to carry a 2.5 (C+) grade point average or better.
Financial need is a major factor in the scholarship application process. (The last two year’s income; W-2”s or 1099 are required from the applicates parents)
Proof of Irish heritage is needed.
Will pay for a total of four years tuition. Our scholarships cannot be used for masters or PHD programs.
A student is required to submit to me a copy of their grades at the end of each semester to verify that they have maintained a 2.5 (C+) grade point average or better.
The scholarship payment is not issued unless the grades are submitted.
If a student falls below a 2.5 (C+) average or better, they are allowed One Semester to raise their grades back to this grade level.
If the grades are not raised the scholarship is forfeited. I have never had this happen.
A section of the application asks about extracurricular activities. We do use this to see if the student is well rounded. Not a deciding factor, but one that is reviewed.
